We are seeking an exceptional candidate for a post-doctoral fellowship position. This person will have the opportunity to conduct statistical/biostatistical studies on a wide range of research topics, including NIH funded studies. The main research focus is the Bayesian spatial-temporal analysis, with application to opioid overdose research, infectious disease modeling, and environmental health. Specific research areas will be determined based on the research interests of the candidate. This position will be involved in conducting analyses using existing data from multiple large cohort and cross-sectional studies, writing manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication, reports, and for presentation to academic and community audiences. The candidate will also gain experience in grantsmanship, as well as research design, planning, and execution.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in statistics, biostatistics or related disciplines. Applicants with a doctoral degree in another discipline may be considered if they possess adequate skills to conduct population research. Candidates must have strong R programming skills, and are familiar with using R for spatial-temporal data processing, visualization and modeling.
